Welcome, Mr. Rama Rao to the Dialogue with Darwin series, as we discussed today, there are a lot of priorities that have emerged in a lot of challenges that need to be solved.
What do you believe is the topmost priority that HR should focus on?
In the pharma industry, what I really feel we need to do is we need to develop a lot of talent because the industry is still, I would still consider assumption industry.
There's a vast growth opportunity possible provided we have the right kind of talent. The biggest concern in any pharma leadership mind is what will happen to my, my critical talent. And, how to ensure the, the continuity is there in that. So, from that point of view, we need to do a lot of talent development.
That's wonderful one, so while we talk about showing growth for the right talent in the organization, right? How do you think, this can be enabled by HR through. We have been using, uh, the HR technology tool of Darwinbox for the last two years. And one of the indirect purposes for which we use is for the talent management also in the talent management sphere, how it works to know the right kind of talent mapping, the way Darwinbox helps in creating and the number crunching of the talent related information is because there are so many aspects of the talent which can be populated, which can be managed over a period of couple of years. And they can be used very much for the caring group of the people. Now we talk a lot about what's happening in the industry. What are the priorities like we spoke about, right.
What do you foresee as one of the trends that will pick up most in HR next year?
I think cutting across the pharma sector. Beat gen or a C player or a formulation dominant player, or even a clinical survey player or this in this industry, the regulatory compliance is one of the prime requirements. So, from that point of view, building the quality and compliance culture is very critical.
In fact, the, the, the challenge and our effort in inside life is in promoting the quality compliance culture among the, among the new recruits. I feel that in the industry, the industry should promote in a big way.
That's wonderful.
Mr. Rama Rao, the last thing I'll do is ask you quick, rapid-fire questions to know you as a person.
What is your favorite hangout at work spending team with the business leaders?
What is one advice you have for HR? HR should be more concerned with the people and their genuine concern for the development of. We will make somebody an excellent teacher. That's what I believe in.
That's the very reason I am in this functional. That's great. So, contribute to people and that's the focus that we should have.
I think it's wonderful interacting with you.
