Form 16B
Form 16B of Income Tax, known as the TDS Certificate for Sale of Property came into effect under the Income-tax Act, 1961. When the payer deducts any taxes be it TDS or TCS and pays it to the credit of Government, a Tax deduction Account Number (TAN) is to be mandatorily generated. This person is called the deductor. Form 16B is essentially a TDS certificate that is to be issued by the deductor to the deductee in respect of TDS deposited to the government of India. It can be accessed from here, Form 16B.
