Maternity Leave
Maternity leave is a right of every expectant mother working in any kind of work to avail paid leaves during her maternity. In India, maternity leaves can last up to 12 weeks or 84 days. It is a family-friendly policy that organizations have in place for ensuring women's safety. Maternity leaves can be availed both before and after the child’s birth. They are broadly of two types – Ordinary Maternity Leave (OML) and Additional Maternity Leave (AML), both of which are a 6-month time period.
