Nominal Group Technique (NGT) is a variation of brainstorming in which team members solve problems by coming up with ideas and further ranking them. This technique was invented by Andre Delbecq and Andrew H. Van de Ven. It is used companywide for identifying problems, generating solutions, and making good decisions. It takes into account the ideas and opinions of all the team members and weighs them to make an effective decision that is agreed upon by everyone following the voting process.
